Depositional Hiatus
July 24, 2012
I realize that the posts here have been a bit sparse in the past month or so; in addition to the fieldwork mentioned in my last piece, we have also been a bit busy at the museum. Installation of our new mineral exhibit last week was all-consuming and occasionally hairy, but we are delighted with the results! If you are interested, you can see some images of the exhibit here.
New posts are in the works …

Nice display Graham!
Peter
Thanks, Peter.
That is a beautifully designed display case. The white and black are very effective together.
The minerals are nice too!
Thank you, Karen! We are pleased with how it all turned out.
A stunning collection!
mr graham,,3 years ago i visited my brother in ritcher manitaba just out side of winnipeg, about an hour away ,iwas lookin at the property when i noticed a large limestone boulder with surface cracks,,so i took out the picks n went to work to my surprise i found a couple straight shelled cephalopods inside, about 4 inches thick,3 and a half feet long, from one end of the boulder to the other,,so this guy would have been easily over 4 feet,,i have been trying to identify him but, can,t seem to find another like it in manitoba,or anywhere else for that matter,,cn u pllese point me in the right direction to find the species
